Locked Out of HubSpot? Here's How to Get Back In.
Being locked out of HubSpot can disrupt your workflow. Follow these steps to regain access to your account quickly.
Immediate Troubleshooting Steps
Before reaching out for help, try these quick fixes:
Reset Your Password
Click "Forgot password" on the HubSpot login page. You'll receive a reset link via email that remains valid for 24 hours. Make sure to complete the reset process before it expires.
Clear Your Browser Data
Sometimes cached data causes login issues. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then try logging in again. Alternatively, test your login in a different browser or incognito/private window.
Verify Your Email Address
Double-check that you're using the correct email address associated with your HubSpot account. It's easy to accidentally use a personal email instead of your work email, or vice versa.
Check Your Spam Folder
If you requested a password reset but haven't received the email, check your spam or junk folder. Password reset emails sometimes get filtered incorrectly.
Still Can't Access Your Account?
If the steps above didn't resolve your issue, here's what to do next:
Contact a Super Admin
Reach out to another user in your company who has administrator permissions. They can reset your password or update your two-factor authentication settings directly from within HubSpot.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Problems
If you've lost access to your 2FA device or authentication app, you'll need to go through HubSpot's identity verification process. Be aware that this typically takes 48-72 hours to complete, so plan accordingly.
Account Locked Due to Suspicious Activity
If HubSpot detected unusual activity or you made too many failed login attempts, your account may be temporarily locked for security reasons. These lockouts often expire automatically after 15+ minutes. If the lockout persists, contact HubSpot support to have your account unlocked.
Inactive Account Reactivation
Seeing a "no accounts" message? Your account may have been deactivated after 120 days of inactivity. Check your email for a deactivation notice from HubSpot—it will contain a reactivation link. Click this link to restore your account access.
